Standard Delivery is to a ground floor room between Monday & Friday so if you require delivery to a basement or upper floor or a weekend delivery then we may be unable to deliver and we request that you call us before ordering to discuss further. Delivery excludes assembly and packaging removal. Most items are delivered within 2 - 3 weeks of ordering and we will book the delivery date with you over the telephone around 1 week prior to delivery in most cases. We try and use our own fleet of Mercedes Sprinter vans for most of our bulky deliveries where possible to allow us to be in control of the delivery cycle and offer our customers the best possible service. Most of the furniture that we sell is very large and bulky which means that delivery is not cheap unfortunately. Smaller items are occasionally dispatched with TNT, Parcelforce or DHL on an express service for more remote postcodes which can be tracked online with the tracking details that we email you on the day of dispatch. We have setup our own dedicated van and driver service just for delivering smaller items which means we can manage the delivery process much more efficiently and reduce the risks of damaged items
Immediate collection is possible for over 90% of the items that we offer from our Uttoxeter warehouse and showroom in Staffordshire, Midlands.
We reserve the right to charge a minimum of £20 towards the cost of a failed delivery. If you know that you are not going to be able to take delivery at the date and time window agreed in advance with our delivery department you must notify us at least 2 full business days prior to the delivery date to avoid further charges. If you delivery was planned for a Monday and you cannot accept the delivery we need to be notifed no later than close of business the prior Wednesday. The true cost of delivery is often significantly more than we charge we pass onto our customers so if we end up being unable to deliver an order to a customers address because we cannot get access to the property or through a cancellation at short notice then we think that it is only fair to pass on an extra failed delivery charge as a significant amount of resource gets used in the planning and final delivery of our orders.
Please note that we do not deliver inside the M25 on Monday or Fridays. All of our delivery vehicle loads at our warehouse in the Midlands prior to leaving the warehouse around 3 - 4 am in many cases and the severe traffic congestion on Mondays and Fridays within the M25 area of London has meant that our costs are significantly higher. If you require a London delivery on a Friday or a Monday and are prepared to pay an additional delivery surcharge then please speak with our sales team to discuss further.
All delivery costs will be detailed in the shopping cart at point of check out and reflect the soaring cost of delivering fragile items such as wooden furniture. We could offer free delivery and build this into our product pricing but many customers like to collect from our Uttoxeter warehouse which is the best way of getting the lowest prices. We now offer a free collection service from our Dartford shop showroom in Kent and we aim to get the items ready for collection within 14 days of payment. Other retailers may offer free delivery or much cheaper delivery but we please ask you to consider the total price of the items including delivery when shopping around and comparing prices and also consider that we offer premium products and refuse to stock low grade ranges. We offer half price delivery if you live within 25 miles of our Uttoxeter, Staffordshire distribution warehouse and head office. We encourage customer collections from Uttoxeter so that you can save the delivery charges and get the items on the day of collection without any delays.
We offer a 2-man delivery service for larger items via our standard mainland service but some larger heavy items such as large dining tables, sideboards and cabinets may require assistance from the customer to help the driver to get the furniture into a ground floor room. A delivery surcharge may be added to Northern Scotland, Scottish Isles, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Wight and the Isle of Man. Please email us with your full address along with the items that you are interested in for an accurate delivery quote to these none standard locations. If you want delivery to mainland Europe then we can also offer a delivery service. We have recently negotiated very competitive delivery rates for our large bulky furniture items to countries in mainland Europe such as France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Spain and Italy. If you want us to quote you for delivery to one of these or another mainland Europe address then please email us details of the exact items you are considering and your full address and we will aim to get back to you with a price within 48hrs. To keep the cost of this service to a minimum in these further afield locations we ask that you try and get someone to help to take the furniture from the lorry or we can quote you extra for delivery to your front door with a 2 man service.
Please note that the delivery service that we offer for Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland is a one man delivery service only and some larger items may require assistance from the customer to help the driver to get the furniture into a ground floor room. If you require a 2-man delivery service to Ireland then please Contact us for a quote before ordering which will often be £200+ for large bulky items.
